It is with great pleasure to introduce myself, I am a mother of four and I have three grandchildren. My previous job was with the Bronx Organization for The Learning Disabled I worded at this site for thirty years and left one because the center closed down. I had the privilege to have had participated and complete numerous workshops and training which lead me to work with children from preschool to six-year-old and also with young adults in a social and recreation-type setting. I am a passion driven individual, I feel I can relate and assist in making the lives of these little tender precious angels accommodate according to their individual special needs and personalities.
Good day! I am Olivia Ramos and I have been proudly working with Tender Years Childcare as one of the toddler’s teachers since April 2017 to present. Before working in Tender Years Childcare, I started as an intern in December 2016 in order to complete my associate in ECE from Hostos Community College. I assisted in the Preschool and Toddlers program. I was encouraged and exposed to teach during circle time all of the colors shapes, number and the alphabets. I also engaged in reading story books and asking questions related to the story. I would lead their music and movement time, play with the children in the pretend and block centers. I am so grateful for the opportunity to grasp everything that was taught to me and to allowed to put it in practice with the supervision and guidance of the lead teacher. I assisted in creating lesson plans for the toddler program. I chose this career because I believe that if I can change a child’s life in a positive way, I fulfill my purpose and contribute in making this world a better place for children to grow healthy and assure of themselves.
I would like to take this opportunity to properly introduce myself to our parents and students. I am Jazzy Rivas, one of the dedicated faculty members in Tender Years Childcare. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. I believe that all of my previous work experience has helped shape my skills, which now enables me to serve our students more effectively. I also worked at a daycare center as a teacher ages ranging from toddlers to Pre-kinder. I truly love working with children, seeing their faces as they learn its very rewarding.
